Why It Matters Now

We're in a moment where the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) could reshape the NCUA.

The CFPB is almost silent, and some lawmakers are openly questioning our credit union tax exemption.

Meanwhile, interest rates keep shifting and fintech innovation speeds ahead.

If you're headed to the Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC), or if you simply need to safeguard your mission in 2025, this briefing and video series will keep you focused on the essentials.

Use it to guide your team with clarity and resolve.

Watch the 3-minute intro video to see what it's all about.

Meet Brent

I’m Brent Dixon, and I’ve spent 20 years in consumer finance, including:

Over the years, I've worked with many CU clients on strategy. I recognize we now face a shifting national context that could call pre-existing plans into question and require significant adaptation.

I started this year curious how it could affect our CU system. To make sense of our threats and opportunities, I dove into policy, regulation, and tech trends.

That work became this video series and the report it's grounded in, designed to simplify the information and equip you to protect your members—no matter how volatile things get.

On a personal note, I grew up in a credit union household (my dad was a CU CEO). I've seen firsthand how cooperatives offer strength to communities during shifting times. I believe credit unions can both thrive and stay true to their roots when we navigate uncertainty with courage and community at the center.

Our industry matters deeply to me and my hope is to offer a practical and actionable resource at a critical moment.
